Terms and conditions
Last updated: 6 November 2026
This page is also available in Arabic; if the two versions differ, the Arabic version prevails.
These terms and conditions apply to Mahfal and to this website (getmahfal.com). Mahfal is operated by Namat Thabit Establishment For Information Technology (Commercial Registration 7055511450, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia), referred to as “we” or “us”. By using them you agree to these terms. Where we sign a separate agreement or quotation with an organisation, that agreement takes priority over these terms.
1. The service
Mahfal lets event organisers send invitations, reminders, tickets and other messages to their guests over WhatsApp from the organiser’s own WhatsApp Business account, record guests’ replies, and follow them on a dashboard.
2. Organiser responsibilities
- Have a lawful basis to contact each guest and to share their details with us for the event.
- Provide accurate guest data and approve the content of messages sent in your name.
- Own or control the WhatsApp Business account and number used, and comply with Meta’s WhatsApp Business policies.
- Not use the service for spam, unlawful content, or messages unrelated to the event or purpose agreed.
- Keep dashboard links and access details confidential.
3. Our responsibilities
- Process guest data only on your instructions and as described in our privacy policy.
- Take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the data.
- Tell you without undue delay if we become aware of a breach affecting your data.
- Delete or return your event data at the end of the service or on request.
4. Fees
Fees are set out in the quotation or agreement for each engagement. WhatsApp message charges from Meta are billed as agreed in that quotation.
5. Third-party services
The service depends on third parties, in particular Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform. Meta may approve, reject or re-categorise message templates, limit sending, or change its rules, and some messages may not be delivered (for example if a guest has blocked the number or Meta applies its per-user limits). We work to deliver every message but cannot guarantee delivery or uninterrupted availability.
6. Intellectual property
We own the Mahfal platform, its software, name and logo. You keep ownership of your content, branding and guest data, and give us permission to use them only to provide the service to you.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for failures caused by third parties or by events outside our reasonable control. Our total liability for any engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement.
8. Suspension and termination
We may pause sending if we reasonably believe the service is being misused or if continuing would breach the law or Meta’s policies. Either party may end an engagement as set out in the agreement.
9. Governing law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and disputes fall under the competent courts of the Kingdom. The Arabic version prevails if the Arabic and English versions differ.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they were last changed.
